I get to work on this cool project with my pal Jack. I'm making an animated backdrop and he is being weird and awkward on stage. I think it's going to be really great!

I'm doing an animated backdrop for a one man show by a writer called Jack Sanderson-Thwaite. It's a lot of fun to get really into drawing and animating for long periods of time. Anyway, we've done enough work for people to know that it is happening now. I'm pleased to be part of it.

There is no long press release to go with this recording. All we really want to say is that we are genuinely delighted with the outcome. The songs are indie-pop songs and we think that they will sound good to you. We are selling them at a good price because we are currently fundraising for some future projects.

Spending this weekend taking a break from running around and getting on with some print stuff. These are getting close to the final stages of two big-ish projects and it takes me ages to get up the courage to make each new mark. Luckily, I've got all weekend.

red trick

So, about two years ago, I made a cover for Red Trick, the debut novel by Giacomo Lee. It was published as an ebook a few months ago and last week it was finally published in paperback. Giacomo is giving his profits to the Samaritans charity, which is pretty nice of him.

kino residency: production line

The last Cafe Kino event was a zine making workshop. It was lots of fun and loads of great zines were made. Thanks to the generosity of Steve Brett, you can see all the photos from that day on my flickr page. As well as Steve, massive thanks is also owed to Bob and Charlotte who helped make the day so great.

A lino-cut I'm working on for the aforementioned book about working in art galleries. kind of looking for an excuse to try some gold leaf with it.

secret gallery installation idea

I work in an art gallery an an invigilator. One thing I am sure of is that many art gallery invigilators are also artists. While working on an upcoming project about working in art galleries, I had this idea.

It occurred to me that most artists who work as invigilators would love to have their work displayed in the galleries they work at. But, in the case of most, this is not going to happen. Unless you find an ingenious way to display your work surreptitiously, working it into your everyday routine. For most invigilators, the main part of their work routine is reading. So here you go:



create your composition to fit the dimensions of the book you are currently reading, then fold around the existing cover of the book.

Here is my design. It is a lino-cut, and I have turned the spine of the book into a brick wall to add some structure (not a pun... Well, maybe) to it.
